RUSSIA WARNS U.S. OVER POSSIBLE STRIKES ON IRAN’S BUSHEHR NUCLEAR PLANT
Russia has warned the United States against any potential strikes on Iran’s Bushehr nuclear power plant, a facility it helped design, construct, and continues to support.
The plant, which is operated with Russian involvement and supplies electricity to Iran, reportedly hosts Russian personnel and uses Russian-supplied nuclear fuel.
The warning follows reports of a recent projectile strike in the region that landed close to the facility, raising concerns in Moscow about the risk of a radiological incident.
Russian officials have cautioned that any attack on such a site could have serious regional consequences, including environmental contamination and escalation of tensions in the Middle East.
The development underscores growing geopolitical sensitivities surrounding nuclear infrastructure amid ongoing U.S.-Iran tensions.
