BURKINA FASO REPORTEDLY RELEASES 11 NIGERIAN AIR FORCE PERSONNEL
Burkina Faso has reportedly released eleven Nigerian Air Force (NAF) personnel who were earlier detained in the country.
Local sources say the Nigerian officers were held during an operational mission near the Burkina Faso border region, following a communication misunderstanding between both military authorities.
Diplomatic intervention and military negotiations were said to have played a major role in securing their release.
The officers are expected to return to Nigeria soon, while authorities in Abuja are yet to issue an official public statement regarding the incident.
More updates are expected as additional information becomes available.
