OTTI HONOURS SOLDIER WHO ENDED OSISIKANKWU’S REIGN OF TERROR IN ABA
UMUAHIA — Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has honoured Staff Sergeant Amoke Gunshot Simeon for his bravery and role in the operation that brought down notorious kidnap kingpin, Obioma Nwankwo, widely known as “Osisikankwu.”Osisikankwu led a deadly kidnapping syndicate that terrorised Aba and surrounding communities between 2008 and 2010, creating widespread fear and disrupting economic activities in Abia State.His reign came to an end in 2010 following a coordinated military operation in Aba, where Staff Sergeant Amoke played a critical role in tracking and neutralising the gang leader.Governor Otti, while recognising the soldier, commended the courage and sacrifice of security personnel who put their lives on the line to protect citizens, noting that such acts of bravery should never go unnoticed.The recognition serves as a reminder of the progress made in restoring security in the state and the importance of continued support for Nigeria’s armed forces.
