VALENCIA AND MALLORCA DRAW 1–1 IN LALIGA CLASH AT THE MESTALLA
Valencia and Mallorca battled to a 1–1 draw in their La Liga meeting on Friday night at the Mestalla Stadium.
The game kicked off at 9:00pm on December 19, 2025, and started brightly in Valencia’s favour as the home side controlled possession and dictated the tempo. Mallorca, however, stayed disciplined and waited patiently to strike on the counter.
The visitors opened the scoring in the 23rd minute when Antonio Raíllo found Samu Costa in space at the edge of the box. Costa kept his composure, spotting the goalkeeper off his line and calmly placing the ball into the bottom corner to make it 1–0.
Valencia reacted by moving the ball higher up the pitch, creating chances through Hugo Duro and Lucas Beltrán. Mallorca defended strongly to reach half-time with their lead intact.
The second half saw Valencia increase their pressure, and they equalised in the 52nd minute. Hugo Duro controlled a pass inside the area and fired confidently into the left corner to level the match at 1–1.
The goal lifted Valencia, who went on to dominate most of the remaining play. Arnaut Danjuma added pace from the bench and forced a near miss with a powerful attempt. Beltrán also came close with a header.
Mallorca continued to defend deep and looked for counter-attacks through Mateo Joseph and Vedat Muriqi, but neither side could find a winning goal. Despite five minutes of added time and several late corners, the match ended level.
The result leaves both clubs reflecting on missed opportunities, with Valencia feeling they could have taken all three points based on their dominance in the second half.
