WE WILL SHOW NO MERCY – PRESIDENT TINUBU DECLARES DURING 2026 BUDGET PRESENTATION

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has issued a strong and uncompromising message during the official presentation of Nigeria’s 2026 National Budget at the National Assembly in Abuja.

Speaking before lawmakers on Tuesday, the President vowed that his administration “will show no mercy” towards individuals or groups sabotaging the nation’s economy, public institutions, or national development efforts.

According to Tinubu, the 2026 budget focuses heavily on economic expansion, revenue generation, infrastructure, education, technology growth, and security enhancement. He emphasized that the budget will only succeed if Nigeria eliminates corruption leakages and resists dangerous political games.

Tinubu assured Nigerians that his government is committed to aggressive reforms aimed at stabilizing the naira, reducing inflation, and promoting job creation. He further noted that every government institution must begin to operate with transparency and accountability.

The President added that the budget is designed to strengthen Nigeria’s fight against insecurity, insisting that terrorists, kidnappers, oil thieves, cyber criminals, and political saboteurs should expect zero tolerance going forward.

Tinubu also appealed to citizens to remain patient and optimistic, declaring that Nigeria is moving toward economic recovery and will not return to past failures.

More reactions are expected from lawmakers, economic analysts, and security experts as details of the 2026 budget become public.
