OKOCHA SPARKS DEBATE, CLAIMS AFCON 2025 SUPER EAGLES CAN’T MATCH NIGERIA’S 1996 OLYMPIC LEGENDS

Nigerian football legend Austin Jay Jay Okocha has triggered a wave of football conversation after stating that the current AFCON 2025 Super Eagles squad would struggle badly against Nigeria’s famous 1996 Olympic gold-winning team.
Okocha made the statement in a video posted online, confidently saying his generation would convincingly defeat the present Nigerian team. He described the 1996 squad — featuring Rashidi Yekini, Sunday Oliseh, Nwankwo Kanu, Daniel Amokachi and Taribo West — as technically superior, mentally stronger and more united.
